Mašta is Serbo-Croatic for ‘imagination’. It also means ‘whatever’. Whatever you imagine can be part of the magazine. We call it organic creativity: open, borderfree, experimental, unconventional, challenging, positive, playful, provocative.
Mašta is made by an international collective of writers, activists, artists and journalists who share the desire to concretely work for a nicer world without waiting for it. Some of the regular contributors and organizers are linked to Loesje, a posterflying girl originally from the Netherlands, currently running an international organization. We encourage people to express and act themselves and treat their minds with fresh ideas. Mašta is part of a global movement for progressive and human change, reclaiming liberalism from the neoliberals, finding the common in communism, fighting the anachronism of anarchism. In other words, Mašta believes in and strives for a creative society, a society that gets the best out of each individual by encouraging creativity, to find creative solutions for the problems.
Mašta is a source of inspiration for engaged artists, humorous activists, and playful humans. It is keen at finding local and global trends and astonishing creative acts. By being a truly global magazine, with readers and contributors from all continents, we aim for an exchange and inspiration of the wide diversity of action methods. Both the website and the magazine function as a inspirational hub of actions, interventions in the streets, and in innovative ways of practically improving the world yourself.

Borderfree
Creative acts is an international platform of creativity. It is European based, but worldwide and geographicly borderless. We will spread in at least twenty countries. Borderless means for us: different countries, different cultures, different people, different media, different perspectives. No borders, no rules.
Positive provocation
We want to inspire, give ideas, solutions and answers, make people to think 'queer'; think round instead of square, and see things from other perspectives. We encourage people to express and act themselves and enlighten their minds with good ideas.
Collective creativity
We are alive, experimental and new. We share our writings: creative acts is a magazine existing of a collective, creative process rather than a bundle of individual expressions. It will be one flow of everything all together: who makes or contributes. Everybody can be involved, even just as a bypasser in a streetperformance is part of it.
Open source
We will use 'open source' in creating articles: combine different ideas from people into bigger articles and also publish the comments and reactions from people on articles. Creative acts is not a static piece of paper but a creative process.
Creative activism
Creative acts is a do-it-yourself magazine. We inspire to act and make people do good things. Therefore our motto: do a crazy thing!
