We went shopping in town, it was a sunny day, so we had walked there instead of going in the car. When we reached town I looked at my watch and it said half past nine. I then realised it was a school and work day and we were both late! How and why had this happened! Why had Dad not woken us and taken you to breakfast club? I took out my mobile and tried to ring school but none of the phone keys worked, they were ringing the wrong number. I tried to ring my work number but again the keys dialled random numbers. If we walked to school you would only be an hour late but how would I get to work, If we walked home for the car we would both be very late but I could use the house phone. We got a bus home and I grabbed the house phone and dialled school but the phone wouldn't dial the number. It was the same when I tried to ring work. We got into the car and drove to school, we arrived just after 10 o'clock and I asked to use their phone to try and ring work to let them know that I was trying to get there and that I HAD tried to ring them numerous times. Even though the receptionist had just been using the phone, it wouldn't dial for me and I still couldn't make my phonecall. At that point I awoke and immediately looked at the bedside clock and racked my brain to work out what day it was. It was Monday BUT it was only 10 to 6 and I didn't need to get up for work until half past 6.
