Book of Dreams
Life
I had seen this person before coming towards me, but he was smiling and I felt no fear. We walked together towards a forest and could hear sounds, very weird sounds and the constant dripping of water. Suddeny there was a fash of brilliant colour and a bird settled down near to us, not a parrot but almost human in the way he looked at us. The noise grew louder and it sounded like monkeys, very loud but I was not able to see them. My companion pointed out a small running, cat like but very small and striped. We carried on until we came to a large rope bridge which suddenly opened up to show the forest floor, hundreds of feet down, we were level with the tree tops and screeching of birds was now very close.
The mist was very thick and when my companion whistled, a small bird came down to just in front of us. The forest was just like I imagined it to be with foliage of all types intermingled and large ferns on the ground and on the trees. Large vines trailed down, looking thick enough to swing from, but we were going down now to the forest floor. It was very warm, but I didn,t feel too warm, everything felt right as though I belonged there. We didn't really talk but were comfortable walking. The only time he touched my arm was when I was about to sit on a log and he showed me all the life within that log, including a very large red spider and lots of ants in a determined marching line. I remember wondering if they would go round me or just munch their way through.
The forest ended there and became red desert, empty of life and sound, trees and birds gone.
The dream ended then, so no harm came to me.
